     Moondust Powders by 8bit Baits are SiO2 Silica based color shifting powder pigments designed for use in a variety of applications.  They are the exact material makeup as our Holoshift Powders that have proven themselves in the market, but over double the size.  Moondust has a particle size of 100 Micron which allows for even more light refraction resulting in a brighter shimmer as well as a lower angle of refraction for even more color shift effect.  Moondust Powder is able to to be mixed into plastisol for soft plastic injection, safe for use in epoxy and resin clear coats, and the incredibly small particle size of 100 microns makes it compatible with airbrush applications as well.  Moondust Powder is also optically clear, so when used in soft plastic injection applications, the powder will visibly disappear at certain angles adding a 3rd dimension to the visible effects created in the baits.

     Moondust Powder is silica based which gives it many benefits over traditional Mica based powder pigments.  The powders have high heat resistance so they will not burn or degrade when mixing into hot plastisol, and they can withstand multiple re-heats.  The Moondust Powders have an incredibly small particle size of 100 microns that are not only optically clear, but also mix and distribute evenly into liquid mediums creating a 10% aqueous suspension.  The silica base also provides a higher quality level of "shimmer" compared to mica based pigments, which is very noticeable in low light environments.

     Moondust Powders are cosmetic grade pigments and non-toxic to the skin and touch, however due to the small 1000 micron particle size it is highly recommended to wear the proper PPE (Personal Protection Equipment), to prevent inhalation of the powder dust particles.  Users should not Inhale or Ingest Moondust Powders.
