MOLD MAT - Silicone

     Mold Mats by 8bit Baits are designed to protect both you and your gear in your bait shop.  Silicone Mold Mats are built with a tough cross-weave fiber mesh infused into a heavy duty 3mm thick silicone shell.  Silicone Mold Mats provide a soft, non-slip, non-stick surface for your aluminum molds when injecting baits.   

     Aluminum bait molds are an expensive investment in your bait shop, and hard countertop surfaces like Wood, Melamine, and Stainless Steel can all heavily scratch and damage your molds over time.  Aluminum is a soft metal and can scratch easily when sliding across a rough surface.  Dropping from a low height or simply setting a mold down too hard can cause denting and damage to corners and edges.

     Silicone Mold Mats are soft and non-slip, protecting your molds when you set them down, as well as providing safety and stability to your molds when injecting.  By gripping the mold in place it reduces the possibility of the mold washing out underneath you during injection.    The silicone surface provides extra grip for your glass Pyrex mixing cups to assist while stirring hot plastisol and helping to prevent the cup tipping over.  Silicone Mold Mats also act as a heat barrier, extending your working time, plus insulating your hot Pyrex cup from your cold countertop preventing rapid heat exchange and reducing the risk of the Pyrex shattering.
